What is an estate sale?
An estate sale is a sale in which the majority or all of the contents in the house are sold: furniture, furnishings, decor, antiques & collectibles, fine & costume jewelry, sterling silver, stamp & coin collections, art, rugs, glassware, kitchen items, clothing and linens, even what's in the cupboards, closets and drawers. Appliances, garage and basement items, tools, vehicles, boats, etc, you name it!
Who has an estate sale?
Town & Country Estate Liquidations conducts sale for those who are moving, family members who have lost a loved one or anyone wishing to sell the majority of their belongings for whatever reason.
How is the sale promoted?
First, we list the items, with detailed photographs of what will be in the sale, on our website. Second, we send an email to over a thousand serious local buyers several days in advance. Third, we advertise in the sale in several other various websites and social media the week of the sale. In addition, on the days of the sale, we post advertising signs that point the way to passing motorists, neighbors, local townspeople, etc. These methods allow us to reach the maximum audience of both regular buyers & casual shoppers.
When is the sale held?
We conduct the sale over two days - Thursdays & Fridays - from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. Items are sold at full marked price (the price we set) on the first day. On the second day, merchandise is sold at a lower percentage of the marked price.
